How to set up your Amazon account

Follow this step by step process to set up your Amazon account.

1. Visit Amazon site or open an Amazon app: Amazon has lots of apps for different functions. There includes- Amazon Shopping, Amazon Music, Amazon Photos, Prime videos, Audible, Amazon Alexa and lots more.

2. Click on “Create new Amazon Account: a grey button at the bottom of the page

Using Amazon shopping app?, click “Create account” below the yellow button which says “Sign in” Click Create an account at the top of the page.
Using Audible? tap “Continue” at the top of the page. Click “create an Amazon Account” at the bottom of the page.

3. Enter your name: type your full name in the bar at the top of the page bar.

4. Enter an email address or mobile: Enter an email address at the second bar. Use a valid email address you can access and remember.

5. Enter password: Use a strong and secure password, Ensure to use Capital and lower case letters, numbers, and special character.

6. Click “Create your Amazon, continue, or verify: For you to achieve this, click the large button at the bottom of the page.

7. Open your email: After registering your account, open the app you are using to check your email.

8. Verify your account: You must have received an email ” Verify your Amazon account” from Amazon.com. Click this email.

9. Copy and save the one-time password: This one-time password is a six-digit password. Ensure to write this down or copy it.

10. Get back to Amazon app: Click on the home button on your device. Then open the Amazon app that you are using to create your account.

11. Enter the one time password and click ” Verify”: This verifies your account and signs you in.
